     The municipal plan of the section Prachatice ( further only the municipal plan) was accepted by the municipality on October 31,1994.Since that time it has been made uptoday several times (in 1996, 1998, 2000).At present another change is being made with the main purpose to secure the protection of the town during the floods.

     The municipal plan solves the area of cadastral territories Prachatice, Staré Prachatice, Těšovice at a scale of 1 : 5,000. It concerns the territory of the town itself and its close neighbourhood and the territory of the seats Staré Prachatice,Ostrov and the industrial estate near Těšovice.

     The territorial plan of this territory specifies the urbanistic conception, specifies permissible or inadmissible practical use of single areas, their arrangement and it determines the basic regulation of the territory.The territorial plan includes the suggestion of the traffic solution,the conception of the solution of the technical equipment of the territory including especially the suggestion of water supply and distribution devices and energy devices.The territorial plan simultaneously provides conditions for protection of all natural, civilizing and cultural values of the territory.

     The most important activities suggested in the territorial plan ( some of them have already been put into practice or are being put into practice) are e.g.:

• revitalization of formal barracks which are suggested to convertion, it`s supposed to use them for commercial purposes and housing (nowadays we have realized e.g. the proffesional school, the plant Vishay, residential houses, integrated emergency system, a number of business activities at.),
• reconstruction of the area in the neighbourhood of the bus station (nowadays the petrol station has been removed and Penny Market has been constructed, it`s supposed to rebuild the bus station, to build the round-about etc.),
• construction of family houses in the locality Pod Cvrčkovem (it is steadily being built),
• completion of building of the housing estate Šibeniční vrch (the construction of residential houses and family houses is supposed,nowadays the supermarket COOP and the old people`s house have been built),
• industrial zone in Krumlovská Street and near Těšovice,
• reconstruction of the area of St.Margaret`s Spa and Kandl Mill,
• completion of the northern side of Vodňanská Street - the construction of administrative building with the underground parking,
• relocation of the road II/141 along the railway track to Těšovice,
• enlargement of the present sewage plant (already done), construction of a new sewage plant for Staré Prachatice and Ostrov.
